Soft leather, then apple strudel topped with vanilla cream.
Matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks, then in double-fired American oak casks, bringing layers of spiced vanilla warmth.

CRAFTED IN SMALL BATCHES
Our intimate distillery has just one mash tun, one wash still and one spirit still. This means Balblair Single Malt Scotch Whisky can only be crafted in small batches.
What some may see as a constraint, we view as a gift.
Working batch-by-batch affords us time to capture the intensity of the early spirit – bringing aromas of pineapple, mango and baking spice. Then, we wait: Balblair’s full-bodied tobacco leaf, dark chocolate and rich nuttiness only arrive towards the end of the cut.
For maturation, each cask is hand-selected by Sarah Burgess, our Master of Whisky Creation. One at a time, naturally.
