Visit Balblair Distillery
At Balblair we are proud of the approach we take to making the finest malt whisky. We are the only Distillery that releases Vintage bottlings exclusively. Every cask is sampled by our Distillery Manager and then released only if it is judged to have reached peak condition. Our bottles are marked with the year that the malt whisky was distilled rather than an age statement.
A Personal Distillery Tour
The Balblair Distillery visitor tour is intimate and personal – an insight into our pursuit of producing the finest quality Vintage Malt Whisky, using methods that have changed very little over the years.
In our “Time Capsule” room, visitors can learn more about our history and experience the sights and sounds of particular years in the past when Balblair Vintages were created. It’s here that we conduct our tastings and really bring the flavours to life.
A Special Memento
Our Distillery shop carries a range of Balblair merchandise and whisky, including some very rare and exclusive Vintages.
We are proud to offer visitors the chance to buy a bottle from a hand selected cask and fill this themselves. To complete the job we ask visitors to hand write and apply the bottle label, fit the cork and seal, and finally sign the ledger to take their place in history.
