You will find us just off the A9, near the coastal town of Dornoch. Inverness is around an hour south. The airport is a little beyond.

CINEMATIC, IN EVERY SENSE

We look like we’ve always been here. Which, given we began in 1790, might sound like an exaggeration. We promise it’s not.

People tell us Balblair is exactly how they picture a distillery should be. Our visitor centre was once the malting floor, and home to a battalion of the Norwegian army. But that’s another story.

Then our traditional dunnage warehouses: every cask matures with the thrum of our stills in the background.

The distillery shop keeps the older, rarer bottlings we hold back for the people who care to visit us. You can even bottle your own Balblair – filled, corked, sealed and signed by you. A limited release of one.
